Afghan Cricket Team Proud of Afghanistan

Considering the instability in Afghanistan, lack of resources, and little financial backing, the Afghan cricket team has shocked the world with how well they have played and how far they have come. Despite not being able to make it to the 2011 World Cup, they have beaten many well known teams who have played in the World Cup in the past. The team is still young and the future of cricket in Afghanistan looks bright.
Nawroz Mangal (captain), Mohammad Nabi, Karim Sadiq, Mirwais Ashraf, Rais Ahmadzai, Dawlat Ahmadzai, Mohammad Shahzad, Hamid Hassan, Samiullah Shinwari, Noor Ali, Asghar Stanikzai, Shahpoor Zadran, Shabir Noori, Sayed Nasrat, and Shafiq Shafaq.Achievements2010Defeated Scotland by 7 wickets in the 3-day International Cricket Council (ICC) Intercontinental Cup match to win the trophy. (December 4th)
Received the silver medal in the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.
