Biography of Ehsan Aman Afghan Singer
Ehsan Aman was born in Lashkargah, Afghanistan to Mohammad Aman, an engineer by profession, whose lineage was traced to distinguished peoples of the Helmand province. Ehsan's interest in music developed in early childhood when he learned to play the accordion. This led to his participation in his high school music functions that raised public support for his professional pursuit of music. After completing his high school education, Ehsan won a scholarship to enter Kabul University and he followed his father's footsteps to study. Aman's serious interest in music began during university- during his attendance as a student, he held various live performances; Ehsan's popularity began to rise. However, there were tensions between Aman and media personalities- the adverse circumstances of the time period led to misinterpretation of his lyrics and contributed to negative publicity. His songs - which were regulars of Kabul Radio Station - were banned. Ehsan?s early works included the hit single Bute' Daram, which he prepared as a gift for one of his relatives. Broadcast on radio, it immediately brought the singer to light. He was then requested by the radio staff for another song, to which he responded with Allah. This single, surpassing the popularity of his first number, was aired repeatedly gaining Ehsan immediate national attention. His quick fame led to provoking of resentment from others and led to fabrication of stories against the singer. Avoiding a confrontation that could have cost him his life, he chose to leave the country. He arrived in Pakistan in 1981. In October 1982, he emigrated to the United States, re-kindling his musical pursuits. In spite of economic and technical difficulties, he collaborated with other exiled Afghan musicians and , in 1983, he released his first album: Musafer. However, burdened with family life and the adjustment to the adopted country, Ehsan limited his involvements from 1985 to 1993 to a career in engineering. After 1993, at the request of fans, he returned to music. In January 2002, he was asked by the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington D.C. to re-arrange the national anthem of Afghanistan. He performed his rendition in front of a 6,500 member audience, achieving acclaim for his achievement. In 1985, Ehsan married his wife Sahar who is the daughter of the late Afghan poet and composer Nainawaz. His wife supports of his music endeavors, she often accompanies him to his concert performances for moral support. He is also a calligrapher and an avid tennis player. From 1976 to 1980, he was a member of the Afghan National Tennis Team, and participated in many international tennis competitions outside of Afghanistan. In November 2006, he was featured in a major motion picture by Hollywood's Dreamworks/Paramount, The Kite Runner based on Khaled Hosseini's best seller novel. His featured songs in the movie were also part of the sound track album sold worldwide

Amir Jan Sabori was born in Heart city, and is one of the best and popular singers of Afghanistan
Amir Jan Sabori began music at age 16. The first song of Amir Jan Sabori was at name of Dokhtar Heri that he sung this song in a festival. In that festival received second position, became more people and attracted more fans. And after he recorded the first song in Afghanistan Radio, Amir Jan Sabori married in 1355 year that has 3 sons at name of Ali Sena, Alias, and Ajmal. Biography of Ahmad Wali Nawabi Afghan Singer
Ahmad Wali Nawabi is the son of Akram Nawabi and he was born in Kabul capital of Afghanistan and graduated from Habibia high school. And also the talent of Ahmad Wali is admirable. Ahmad Wali had interest to the music from the childhood. He begun music at age of 12 and his teacher was Mohmmad Hashem drum player. First time for learning of drum playing in Afghanistan Radio he became student of Austad Jalil. And he recorded 2 songs in Afghanistan Radio. Ahmad Wali had married with Hangam the best and popular singer of Afghanistan but for some family problems they separated from each other. Ahmad Wali was the student of Habibia School that became popular with this 2 mentioned song. Ahmda Wali had given a concert for mother day that became more popular and found more fans. In that year Ahmad wali received the year singer title. When Ahmad Wali graduated from Habibia School according to an invitation from Iran country he went to Iran with some Afghani singers.

Biography of Sarder Sayed Afghan Singer and Actor

Sardar Sayed is a pop singer. He is fairly new to the business, having started out two years ago. But in a short space of time, he has attracted many fans and written some great music.
Sayed says music should reflect Afghan culture and traditions and must hold a message for listeners. as well as a singer, sayed as a director, script writer and an actor.sayed started his artistic career as an assistant director and actor in Pakistan while he was there as refugee between 2002 and 2006. During this time, he gained many skills in various artistic fields. He recalls. I was watching Pashto films and there were a lot of things that I did not like and wanted to improve so I joined the industry to do something better. Sayed worked on 5 or 6 films; as well as directing, he wrote script too. In 2007, he made a big step in his career by directing his own film: Qosor De Cha Da. He also wrote and started in the movie.
His other films, Zara me Manali , Jabree Wadoona and Doka were filmed in quick succession. Unfortunately, his film career did not bring him financial success and he struggled to earn money and meet expenses. Sayed identifies the lack of funding and support from the authorities and the public as a reason for the poor state of the Afghan film industry. Competition from foreign films is also an issue.
Explaining his decision to enter into the music business, Sayed said: I had an interest in music from childhood. I listen to khial Mohammad and Ustad Shawali songs, and that gave me the motivation to sing and play music. I want to my service to other Afghans through my music. Sayed music career is going successfully. He released 2 albums, in 2008 and 2009: Paka Yarana Kaawoo and De Yat Pe Stergo Ke Sa were hits and brought him fame on the Afghan music scene. Sayed has also played many concerts for local TV. Of his concert in Mazar-e-Sharif, Sayed says it was warmly welcomed; I never expected to be so well received. Singers should reflect Afghan traditions, according to Sayed. He also believes a singer should use nice lyrics that carry a message. Sayed is now working on a song about education and writing film. He wants the whole world to know about his music. During his leisure time, Sayed reads books and writes. He also works with Shamshad TV as director, cameraman and soundman.

Biography of Mozhdah Jamalzadah Afghan Singer
nabil amiry: What country were you born in? If you were born outside of Canada, how old were you when you arrived here?
Mozhdah: I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and my family was forced to leave when I was 5 years of age. We lived in Islamabad, Pakistan for a year before moving to Canada. We resided in Oshawa, Ontario for a couple of years and later settled in Vancouver, British Columbia.
nabil amiry: Where do you currently reside?
Mozhdah: I have lived in Vancouver, British Columbia for most of my life. I find it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
nabil amiry: Have you had a chance to visit Afghanistan?
Mozhdah: I never had a chance to visit Afghanistan because of my studies, but it is definitely a dream of mine to go back one day.
nabil amiry: What subjects did you enjoy studying in school? What subjects have you majored in?
Mozhdah: I can honestly say I loved every subject in school except for Mathematics, and Physics. I recently received my Diploma of Technology in Broadcast Journalism from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and am currently majoring in Philosophy at the University of British Columbia. I do have to admit, it is getting tough juggling school and music. I have an unbelievable thirst for knowledge and I’ve understood that the more you learn, the more you realize how little you know. I have a long way to go…My favorite educational quotes are:

nabil amiry: Other than Dari and English, do you sing in any other languages?
Mozhdah: I have yet to release a song in Pashto, and I am happy to announce that there will be one very soon bakhair. I’ve been working very hard on getting the pronunciation right because if you’re going to do something, you do it right. My father, who is originally from Herat, speaks fluent Pashto, and he has been a great help.
nabil amiry: What do you think has been your biggest obstacle as an Afghan female musician
Mozhdah: Being an Afghan female has definitely been the biggest obstacle. There have been so many obstacles that I have lost count. The only reason I have made it this far is because of the amazing level of support from my wonderful parents, as well as brothers. My mother is an extremely strong woman, and I have learned a lot from her. My father believes that the issue of women’s rights should not even exist in this century. He writes the lyrics to most of my songs, and he has written a piece particularly about Afghan Women. It’s called “Dokhtare Afghan”, and the composition is my own. The Afghan music industry is very male dominated, and I feel some of them don’t take female artists too seriously. I could write a book about how unfair the Afghan music industry is to women. Again, I am very grateful for the strength and support of my family. They are my backbone. I definitely owe everything to my fellow Afghans for their constant support, encouragement, and acceptance from the beginning.
nabil amiry: Being a successful singer must bring many rewards with it. In your opinion, what are some rewards that you’ve gained throughout your journey?
Mozhdah: The best reward is reading amazing e-mails, letters, Facebook and Myspace messages from fellow Afghans. I make sure to reply to every single message because I appreciate their kind words, support, and constant encouragement. The best feeling of all is when I receive messages from girls who let me know I have helped them realize they can do, and be anything they want (with respect for their families wishes of course).
nabil amiry: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Mozhdah: My favorite thing to do is read fictional novels. My mind gets lost into a different world, and sometimes you just need to escape reality, it is fun, and you learn a lot. I also love Tae Kwon Do, and basketball, but my first priority is spending as much time as I can with my cat “Mittens”. Cats don’t live very long, so I want to spend as much time with him as I can.
nabil amiry: You seem to have a good eye for fashion. Aside from singing, is it safe to say that fashion is another one of your interests?
Mozhdah: I don’t know if I should admit this, but my mother buys/designs all of my clothing. I actually don’t know much about fashion, but am slowly learning from her. She has an amazing talent when it comes to fashion. She makes me wear things that look so “out of this world” sometimes, but then I see them in stores one year later, so she is definitely ahead of the fashion game.
nabil amiry: Who were some of your musical (or non-musical) inspirations growing up?
Mozhdah: My biggest inspiration, I would have to say, is Marhoom Ahmad Zahir. I started listening to him at a very young age, and although I didn’t attempt singing until recently, his music would just make me want to sing. My parents’ way of thinking inspired me to follow my dreams, and my mother’s family is very involved in music.
nabil amiry: How is it traveling and touring all over the world? Are there specific cities that you most enjoy performing in?
Mozhdah: It has always been a dream of mine to be closer to my people, especially because I have been a bit isolated growing up. There is no better way to be close to my people than through music. Music brings people together, and puts minds in a state of euphoria. Being on tour is amazing because I’m constantly surrounded by my people. I’ve enjoyed performing in all cities that I have been to, but my dream is to perform in Afghanistan itself one day bakhair.
nabil amiry: You recently won a Noor TV Award. Please tell us about that experience.
Mozhdah: Noor TV has been one of my biggest supporters since the start of my music career and it was an honor to be nominated. I really have to thank everyone who voted for me. I owe the award to my fans, the ones who made it happen.
nabil amiry: Do you have any CD’s on the market for fans to purchase?
Mozhdah: My very first CD will be released by March/April 2009. It took a lot of hard work, and more than two years to complete, so I’m really hoping that everyone will like it.
